5 A Day for Better Health Program
I was browsing through Dole website, and I found a interesting fact ^^
There is a 5 A Day for Better Health Program which Dole is also in part of. This is a national program to encourage people to eat 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables to keep ourselves healthy everyday.
"The national 5 A Day for Better Health Program, established in 1991 as a partnership between the National Cancer Institute and the Produce for Better Health Foundation, is the largest public-private partnership for nutrition and health in the United States and in the world'www.dole.com'."
I myself did not know about this until I searched around online to look for a healthy eating habit promotions. I was really surprised when I found this article. I think there should be more education promotions like this to increase children and adults to encourage people to stay healthy by eating fruits and vegetables.

I think this program is very advisable!! Needless to say, vegetables and fruits are good for us. As the proverb says, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. I have also heard that banana is efficacious against cancer.
Since I entered this university, I continue living by myself, so I have to cook my own food. (I'm sorry that the story changes to
private thing suddenly.) However, it is not so easy to have a well-balanced diet. Therefore, I keep in mind to make or buy salad everyday. I believe firmly that my healthy balance is kept by taking vegetables. If there is anyone who lives by oneself and wants to spend healthy life, why don't you buy salad which are sold at the cooperative store? They are delicious and , above all, cheap.
At any rate, I hope that like this program spread to all over the world, especially advanced countries.

I think eating vegetables and fruits are very important. I would say, you have to eat vegetables and fruits every day as possible. Every morning, I eat vegetables soup which my mother made it for me. She puts lots of vegetables such as carrot, mushroom, tomato, paprika, cabbage, and so on. She sometimes put celery and other vegetables too. Every day I eat different vegetables because she doesn’t put same ingredients every day.
I love all vegetables because I eat every day since I was a little.
I think many people don’t like vegetables because they hate the taste. If you don’t like them and don’t eat every day, you could start eating vegetables by your favorite one.
According to my mother, she told me that we have to eat vegetables more than 350g. I think it is hard to eat 350g by fresh vegetables so I prefer to cook. In that case, I could eat lots of vegetables in small amount. So everybody, lets start vegetables and fruits eating habit from now.
